Inner-source software development [Upcoming talk]

I’ll be giving a talk on our inner source research at Concordia and McGill (both located in Montreal) third week of January. HMU for details if you are interested.

Abstract: Inner-source software development is the use of open source practices for firm-internal software development. In inner source, developers collaborate across organizational silo boundaries for higher code quality, more code reuse, and better knowledge sharing, while improving employee satisfaction. In this talk, I will provide an overview of the research domain, including 15 years of our own qualitative research, our more recent quantitative research on the topic, and upcoming experimentation.
